With our offseason underway, we do have some updates for the 2026 season to announce.
2026 Schedule Update
Scheduling for next season has begun and we have a few major dates to release.
Our 2026 season will begin with the 50th annual Spring 50 on March 21st. The Northern Allstar Late Models return for our traditional season opening event.
The Lucas Oil Late Models make their first appearance of the season on May 2nd with 40th annual Ralph Latham Memorial.
And, of course, our biggest race of the year, the 44th Annual Sunoco Race Fuels North/South 100 presented by Lucas Oil returns August 6th-8th.
More dates will be released later in the offseason.
Weekly Racing Update
On the weekly front, we are making a change in our regularly scheduled divisions.
After car counts, over the last few years, have dwindled to unsustainable levels, the hornet division will not be a weekly division in 2026.
In its place, the Hidden Gem Motorsports Legend division will be a regular, points earning division this season. Legends are a miniature version of 1930’s coupes and sedans. They are powered by spec motorcycle engines to promote equal competition and close racing. Drivers as young as 10, with 2 years INEX approved racing experience, and 13 with no experience are allowed to compete in the Legends division. We will be using INEX rules, which you can access through the drivers section of our website. For more information on the Legend division, go to https://www.inexseries.com/ or, to get info on getting your own Legend car to race in 2026, contact Hidden Gem Motorsports through their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/hiddengemmotorsports/
