As was announced at last month’s Ralph Latham Memorial, at this year’s 44th Annual Sunoco Race Fuels North/South 100, in addition to the traditional heats, B-Mains and 100 Lap main event, we will be hosting a special race honoring two of the track’s most dedicated and influential contributors.
The Ron and Madeleine Jerger Dash for Cash Presented by Cincinnati Investment Advisors will showcase the very best drivers from the marquee weekend in a winner-take-all showdown paying $5,000 to win. This special event honors the memory of Ron and Madeleine Jerger, longtime Florence Speedway race scorers, whose dedication helped shape the track’s rich history.
Combined, Ron and Madeleine devoted an incredible 104 years to Florence Speedway and the local racing community. Alongside Speedway promoter Preston Sandlin, they also played a key role in the creation of the inaugural North/South 100, helping establish what has become one of dirt racing’s premier events.
