Stock Rules
Note: Drivers competing in the Pure Stock division on any given night may not compete in any other division at that event. Division to be ran is declared at pill draw and cannot be changed. This will be enforced on a per event basis only, meaning a driver may run in different divisions on separate weeks.
- 106" minimum wheel base
- Factory built steel body cars only. After-market body panels are allowed. Steel only. No homemade bodies. Gutting of hood, front fenders, doors and trunk lid will be permitted. Stock OEM front and rear bumpers.
- Car must be full frame and frame must be stock from front to rear. Uni-body cars must add square tubing 2" x 3" minimum from front sub to rear spring front hanger. NOTE: On uni-body, roll cage must be welded to square tubing added on frame.
- All doors must be welded shut.
- Roll cage - 4 post roll cage. NOTE: Door bars must be at least 1 1/2" tubing, 3 bar minimum in driverís door and 2 bar minimum in passenger door. All roll cage joints must have gussets welded in, including door bars. Front hoop bar to protect radiator OK. Down bars from back of roll cage to rear of frame required. Steel door plate 1/8" thick minimum, 30" long x 20" tall.
- All chrome, glass and light fixtures must be removed. 3 vertical bars must be installed in windshield area on driver side compartment.
- Interior must remain stock.
- Fuel cell 24-gallon max in completely enclosed steel container (NO ALUMINUM ALLOWED). All cells will be mounted to a 1" x 1" square tubing frame thatís welded to frame supports. Minimum of 4 - 2" steel straps completely around cell.
- Battery must be mounted securely in car in enclosed container.
- No engine set back allowed - must stay in stock location.
- No aluminum heads or blocks. Motor must be stock for make and model of car.
- Cast Iron intakes only. No aluminum or high rise intakes.
- No roller cams or roller tip rockers.
- Ignition must be stock. No MSD or after-market distributor allowed.
- No dual line or double pump carbs allowed. One four barrel, Holley, Quadra jet or Edelbrock ok. No aftermarket carbs. Max 1 inch spacer allowed. Stock two barrel ok. No alcohol. Linkage can be changed to use solid rod design for safety. Fuel line inlet must remain in factory position.
- Gasoline only; no electric fuel pumps.
- Headers optional. Exhaust turndowns must be minimum 6 inch behind firewall, max 12 inch behind firewall.
- Mufflers are mandatory. 100 decibel maximum. Any car losing mufflers will forfeit points and prize monies for that night.
- Transmission must be automatic and must retain torque converter. No after-market power glide or TCI. No direct drive transmissions.
- Two driveshaft hoops mandatory.
- Rear ends can be changed to Ford design for safety but must be mounted to body design springs and shocks.
- Stock OEM trailing arms and brackets must be used. No lengthening or shortening of control arms. No tubular bars or heim joints.
- All shocks and springs must stay in stock location. No jack bolts or jacking devices front or rear.
- On leaf spring cars, stock spring and stock length spring shackles only. No adjustments on shackles and no lowering blocks.
- Brakes calipers must be factory design. Pedals and master cylinders may be factory or aftermarket design. No brake adjusters or shutoffs.
- Tires no larger than DOT P255-G60-15. Steel wheels only, 8" maximum width.
- Oversized lug stud and lug nuts required on right side of car.
- Weight - 3,000lbs with driver.
- All weights must be painted white with car number must be clearly marked. Weight must be mounted with bolts to the frame or roll cage.
- Racing seats required; aluminum type racing seat and properly installed. All seat belts are racing type 5 point design and properly installed. Hans devices HIGHLY RECOMMENDED but not required.
- Full fire suit required; Snell design helmet required; Head restraint and gloves highly recommended.
